I'm sorry if this is a bit late to the party, but I would like to offer my help on this matter.
I picked up a CanoScan LiDE 200 scanner from a thrift store and am using the Windows 8.1 64-bit drivers on my laptop which runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit ver 1709 with no trouble here. That's not to say I won't run into problems.
I got my driver here.
However, another thought, regardless of scanner, you may have a chance of getting an 'orphaned' scanner working with a package from Hamrick Software. It directly supports the LiDE 200 scanner. Some scanners may require the scanner's vendor's own driver, so you may be out of luck depending on the scanner.
I can say that it does work with the LiDE 200 I have, but so does Canon's Windows 8.1 driver.
Hope this helps.

Canoscan Lide 200 Driver
Thank you.
Mfr (Canon) website just says there are no compatible drivers for my CanoScan LiDE 200. When I attempt to download an earlier version (Windows 8.1) the installer gives me an incompatibility message and forces exit. This has been a fine basic flatbed scanner for my needs and it's a shame to throw it away because of a few lines of code. Please help!
